Infrared heating is one of the most natural forms of heat on this planet. It is how we experience the heat of the sun: why skiers on a cold, sunny mountain-side feel warm (and feel good!) and why we feel the rays of the sun on our skin, despite the millions of miles of space they have to travel. Infrared health benefits should come as no surprise.

Studies have shown how people in a warm room with cold walls feel cold; whereas people in a cold room with warm walls feel warm. We feel good when experiencing radiant heat - regardless of the temperature of the surrounding air. This has been proven to stimulate our immune systems.

By heating up objects directly (like the sun), without relying on having to heat up the surrounding air, Infra red heaters act totally the opposite way round from traditional convection heating (which heat up the air, but fail to heat up objects). (This is partly why IR heaters are also less wasteful).

Radiant heat - versus convection heating - dries-out masonry, rather than encouraging condensation - thus eliminating damp-related illness (mild forms of foehn-related illness) common at home and at work.

Ill health at home or work is aggravated by the presence of convection-based heating and cooling systems. Because IR heaters do not rely on convection to carry heat through the air, dust, germs and particles are not stirred-up and spread through the heat system. It is well understood that work-place asthma and bronchial infections are largely caused by such traditional convection heating systems.

All Redwell heaters are certified low "electrosmog" devices, meaning they also do not emit harmful electromagnetic waves, unlike some electrical appliances.
